UPDATED Statement from Executive Director Witness and Global, Dr. John F. Green, on the Haiti Earthquake Relief Efforts

Atlanta, Georgia — Dr. John F. Green, Executive Director for Global Witness and Ministry of the African Methodist Episcopal Church released the following statement regarding updated ways to give to Haiti Relief Fund:

“As our prayerful attention remains upon Haiti in the aftermath of the earthquake on Saturday, August 14, 2021, relief efforts to assist our brothers and sisters are underway in Episcopal Districts and in collaboration with AME-SADA—Bishop Adam J. Richardson, Jr., Chairman; Mr. Robert Nicholas, Executive Director; Connectional WMS, Mrs. Deborah Taylor King, President; Church World Service, Ms. Josephine Oguta, Vice-President of Development and Human Assistance and our ecumenical partners and members.

To facilitate an effective accounting of funds donated to our Haiti Relief efforts, oversight of collection and accountability of all donations is entrusted to the Department of the AME Church Finance Office, Dr. Marcus Henderson, CFO.

All checks should be made payable to the
AME Church Finance Department

Donations can also be sent through Givelify:  (AME) African Methodist Episcopal Church
  
1. Go to Givelify: type in (AME) African Methodist Episcopal Church;
2. Select that option;
3. Tap Give and choose your amount;
4. An envelope will appear that reads: "AME Haiti Relief;"
5. Choose that option and follow the finalizing instructions to complete the donations.
