Change.org - Stop deadnaming students

Coppell Independent School District insists on deadnaming their trans students and outing them to their families. This is not only a matter of privacy, but also a safety issue for trans individuals—as it opens them to more harassment and violence. According to petition starter Zach, suicide rates in trans youth who aren’t accepted is 41%. Calling trans youth by their preferred name is suicide prevention. Add your name to urge CISD to protect and respect their students.
