Our 10 Moral Demands for Climate Justice

GreenFaith Logo

Earlier this week, I shared the first five of GreenFaith’s ten moral demands for climate action. As promised, here are numbers 6-10:

  • No more climate pollution

  • End the planet’s desecration

  • Eliminate immoral finance

  • Just contributions by wealthy countries for a sustainable future

  • Bold leadership by diverse religious communities

These demands are ambitious and they are necessary. To dig deeper into each, we’ll be doing some education in the New Year to ground ourselves in their religious and moral meaning. I hope you’ll join us.

Your support makes all the difference.

It will take every one of us joining together to make the enormous changes we need. That’s why we’re looking forward to March 11, 2021, when the Sacred People, Sacred Earth Multi-Faith Day of Climate Action will take place. This day will be a clarion call for people of diverse religions around the world. It’s time for us to face the mountainous challenge of climate change together and to get to work on moving it.

The Earth and all people are sacred. Devoting ourselves to their care is the only just choice.

We invite you to join us on March 11 and to support us in your year-end giving.

For compassion, love and justice,

Rev. Fletcher Harper, Executive Director
