NCC NOW: Egyptian-American Dialogue, COVID-19, Census Sunday

Egyptian-American Dialogue: We are grateful to have Rev. Dr. Andreas Zaki, along with other faith and government leaders, visiting the United States as part of a long-standing dialogue.  Rev. Aundreia Alexander, Associate General Secretary, and Jim Winkler, President/General Secretary have traveled to Egypt in past years in order to be part of this dialogue.  Read NCC Governing Board Chair Rev. Dr. John Dorhauer's remarks to the dialogue on our website.
Coronavirus: Are you making plans and preparations for the possibility of COVID-19 affecting your ministry, work, and life?  If not, perhaps you should be.  We're passing along a helpful document from Westchester County, New York, by way of our Chief Operations Officer Rev. Dr. Leslie Copeland Tune, along with the latest guidance from the Centers for Disease Control.  Check with your locale to see if there are special alerts or instructions for you.
Census: the US Census is coming soon!  By the middle of March, most people will start receiving their census packets.  Representation and distribution of funds depends on an accurate count, and vulnerable communities are often under-counted.  Spread the word and hold a Census Sabbath in your church to help people understand the importance of participating.
NCC NOW is a periodic, timely email with brief updates and news from the National Council of Churches.
Serving as a leading voice of witness to the living Christ in the public square since 1950,
the National Council of Churches of Christ in the USA (NCC) brings together 38 member communions
and more than 40 million Christians in a common expression of God's love and promise of unity.
