Dear Prayer Team Member,

John the Baptist had a healthy understanding of who he was and a well-defined sense of the boundaries of His role in God's plan. He introduced Jesus, pointed others to Him, and stepped aside so they could follow the Messiah.

John 3:25-30 (NRSV)

Now a discussion about purification arose between John's disciples and a Jew. They came to John and said to him, "Rabbi, the one who was with you across the Jordan, to whom you testified, here he is baptizing, and all are going to him." John answered, "No one can receive anything except what has been givven from heaven. You yourselves are my witnesses that I said, 'I am not the Messiah, but I have been sent ahead of him.' He who has the bride is the bridegroom. The friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly at the bridegroom's voice. For this reason my joy has been fulfilled. "He must increase, but I must decrease."

Call to Prayer - Winter 2020

March 29 - April 4, 2020

1. Pray for the PPL Board (and all pro-life ministries) to do their work of protecting life with true humility, knowing that all we have been given comes from the hand of God and all glory goes to him alone (Soli deo Gloria).

2. Pray for peace and comfort for all those experiencing the grief of a child's death through miscarriage or stillbirth.

3. Pray for those parenting children with special needs to have everything they need from God and the fellowship and support of the Body of Christ.
