The Joining Hands initiative of the Presbyterian Hunger Program is celebrating 20 years of challenging global systems that generate hunger, poverty and injustice. We came to realize that responding to poverty through projects alone was not enough. We wanted to develop deeper relationships with our international partners. And we knew that it was necessary to identify, analyze and challenge the very systems that create or perpetuate hunger and poverty in order to make a real impact.
The work of Joining Hands has impacted 10 countries overseas and the United States. Currently, we have Joining Hands networks in 7 countries including: Cameroon, Democratic Republic of Congo, El Salvador, Haiti, India, Peru and Sri Lanka.
We hope that you will join us in celebrating our 20 year journey!
