A Poor 'Vision': Seeking a corrective to the Trump proposal
With experts from leading humanitarian and development organizations, Foundation for Middle East Peace (FMEP), and Churches for Middle East Peace (CMEP).
Tuesday, March 10, 2020. 10:30 am Eastern. Live Video.

Nearly one month has passed since President Trump, alongside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, unveiled the “Peace to Prosperity” proposal. The proposal was met with both praise and significant opposition. One month later, where do things stand? Did the proposal from the Trump Administration shift U.S. policy toward Israel/Palestine? Have we seen changes on the ground in Israel/Palestine?
Join our partners at Churches for Middle East Peace for a live webinar on Tuesday, March 10th, from 10:30-11:30 am EDT as CMEP Executive Director, Rev. Dr. Mae Elise Cannon facilitates a conversation with Lara Friedman, President, Foundation for Middle East Peace, and Dr. Muna Mushahwar, an eye surgeon in Jerusalem and board member of Kairos Palestine, assessing the proposal in light of historic U.S. policy toward Israel/Palestine and its impact on the ground in Israel/Palestine. The webinar will also introduce a letter sent to Congress signed by 20 Christian Communions and Organizations opposing the proposal.
Join our webinar on Tuesday, March 10th, from 10:30-11:30 am EDT to learn more about ways you can engage in advocacy efforts to ensure U.S. policy will contribute to an end to the conflict in Israel/Palestine and the realization of full equality and human rights for all. The conversation will take place via Zoom.
