Elham Modaressi, a 32-year-old artist, is currently detained in Iran for allegedly taking part in the protests that have swept the country. Her family says she has been tortured and needs urgent medical care. Elham Modaressi, a 32-year-old Iranian artist is detained, tortured, and facing grave human rights violations in Iran while she is suffering from a severe health condition due to PSC & US illness. Her life is in grave danger. Elham was arrested on 2th. November 2022, while she was at home, security forces raided her house, assaulted her, and took her to custody in an unknown location. Later, information disseminated by the family of other ward mates Elham revealed that Elham had undergone torture during interrogations. She was told by the interrogators that his brother was under torture in another cell, her mother had passed away, and many other psychological tortures were exercised on her to put her under pressure to gain forced confessions.  The prosecutor of the second branch of the revolutionary persecution office of Fardis in the city of Karaj (in Iran) has launched white torture against Elham’s family. The prosecutor carried out all measures to not the family know about the ongoing juridical case. Elham herself has been denied to be given any information about the procedure and thus experiencing additional phycological pressure. Elham has been denied access to a lawyer, essential medical care, proper medicine, and other fundamental rights of a detainee.  The prosecutor, interrogators, and prison authorities took all measures to force Elham to accept false scenarios they designed for Elham, in which they appointed roles for Elham as one acting against national security. Elham-according to the information that came out from other prisoners’ family members- she has strongly rejected all the false accusations. I, Zhila Modaressi, Elham Modaressi’s sister, hereby would desperately and kindly plea all people around the globe who care about fundamental human rights to sign this petition and request for the unconditional and immediate release of my beloved sister. Elham is a kind artist who cares about all others’ suffering. Elham should be released to be hospitalized immediately. Her life is in danger. Zhila Modaressi.
