World Vision - Help families impacted by Hurricane Ian

Emergency Appeal

Our prayers are with those affected by Hurricane Ian as it made landfall on Florida’s Gulf Coast today with a strength just shy of Category 5 — one of the strongest ever to hit the U.S. It continues to batter the region with destructive winds and rainfall resulting in widespread, life-threatening flooding and catastrophic damage. Please consider collecting a love offering this weekend. Your gift to our U.S. Disaster Relief Fund will help bring critical relief to people impacted by Hurricane Ian and other disasters across the country.

Our staff is responding, and we are working with our partners in Florida to deliver emergency supplies as soon as safely possible. Our product warehouses in Grand Prairie, Texas, and Philippi, West Virginia, jumped into action on Monday, preparing multiple truckloads of relief supplies for distribution including essentials like clean water, food, hygiene items, diapers, coolers, and cleaning products.

Would you join us in prayer for the people affected by Hurricane Ian?
Pray for:
  • Lives to be spared.
  • Safety and protection for impacted children and families.
  • Strength and stamina for our local staff and partners as they respond in the hardest-hit areas.
Our Lord is the ultimate protector and comforter, and we know He is with everyone affected by Hurricane Ian. Thank you for joining us in lifting them up in prayer and for giving generously to help. We’re so grateful for you.
Give Now
May the Lord answer you when you are in distress; may the name of the God of Jacob protect you. –Psalm 20:1 (NIV)
