Tell Bank of America: Don’t Fund Plastics in Cancer Alley

Tell Bank of America: Don’t Fund Environmental Racism
Join GreenFaith for the Stop Formosa Action Hour on 17 March at 7pm ET

Formosa Plastics is trying to build yet another mega-petrochemical complex (the “Sunshine Project”) in St. James, Louisiana, in the heart of what’s become known as Cancer Alley. The residents of St. James Parish – who are predominantly Black – suffer from cancer rates that are 50 times higher than the national average.

GreenFaith is joining with RISE St James, a Black-led, faith-based, grassroots organization to stop this project, and we need your help.

Join us Thursday, March 17 at 7pm ET to take action and learn how to get your faith community involved. People of faith have a responsibility to bring the moral authority of our shared values to this campaign.

Destroying the health of people and the earth is against our religious teachings. Together, we will ask Bank of America to stop investing their money in this immoral project.

Sign and share this petition and invite your faith communitiy to join us on March 17 to learn more.

In solidarity,

Rev. Amy Brooks
GreenFaith US Organizer

P.S. Check out this video from Rise St. James for more info, and share & sign the petition today!
