At the moment, huge queues of refugees have lined up at six border crossing points between Ukraine and Poland from the Ukrainian side:
Many people stand in line on foot, not being able to shelter from the cold and wind. Tomorrow’s forecast is for rain. People do not have access to drinkable water, food, warm clothes, medicines. Running out of gas. Phone batteries are dying, there is no way to contact relatives. There is no way to prepare infant food or provide the necessary medical care. Panic seizes people, parents lose their children, who go to the front of the line in search of food and a place to warm themselves. People have no place to sleep. In addition, all these people run the risk of being attacked by airstrikes every minute. These people have nowhere else to run. Currently, from the Ukrainian side, there is no way to provide refugees with everything they need due to martial law, curfews, and threats to the lives of volunteers. This is a humanitarian collapse.
