Throughout the Covid pandemic, members of the GreenFaith community have been looking out for each other and fostering communities of care and resilience. It has been a challenging five months for sure, but because we are fueled by love, compassion, and the pursuit of justice, we aren’t slowing down and we will never give up.
How can we? We are less than 75 days away from an election. Now is the time to dig deeper, to care more, and to show up for ourselves and for others.
This fall, GreenFaith will be running the Righteous Voter Campaign. We’re asking members of the GreenFaith community to sign the pledge and to become Moral Observers - a network of people of faith across the country trained to document instances of voter suppression and/or intimidation.
Please join the Righteous Voter Campaign by signing the Righteous Voter Pledge and calling into our campaign kickoff call on September 2nd to learn more about how you can get trained and get others involved.
From the women’s suffrage movement to the ongoing fight for civil rights, people of faith have fought - sometimes risking their lives - to win and protect the right to vote. Let’s join them.
This year, let’s exercise our right to vote and make sure others can as well. And when we do vote, let’s keep our loving commitment to each other and to the earth foremost in our minds.
I look forward to seeing you on the kickoff call on September 2nd!
In Solidarity,
Louis Romain
GreenFaith Organizer
