We know this is a critical time for the earth, people, and communities everywhere. The world is out of balance -- racial inequity, climate crisis and the Covid-19 pandemic are showing us that we need to come together for the health and safety of all people and the world.
Whether we are frightened, angry or energized, coming together to build relationship and community really matters. That's why we are gathering together on Thursday, August 20, at 11am and 4pm New York Time for our GreenFaith Community Call for Care and Resilience. RSVP here.
Grounded in our collective faith, GreenFaith is responding with courage, hope and action to create a world that works for all. Every Thursday we are bringing together people of faith and spirit to share wisdom, build community, and gain strength from being together.
This week we are delighted to welcome The Reverend Kwame Pitts. She’s a womanist theologian and pastor in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. These are the words that she uses to describe herself: Daughter of Africa; Claimed by Creator; Pastor; Practical Womanist Theologian; and Warrior.
She is a leading voice in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America for racial justice and criminal justice reform. We’re very excited to have her as a guest on the call to lead our spiritual moment.
Whether you are joining us for the first time or returning to deepen community connections, we will, together, envision and build a world of flourishing life for all.
We look forward to seeing you next Thursday!
In solidarity and faith,
Oluwatosin Kolawole, GreenFaith Organizer
