Keep Special Forces, Detectives, Street Unit and PRO’s in Weirton | ||

On Monday, Weirton’s city Manager Joe DiBartolomeo announced he plans to realign the operational structure of the police department. He plans the elimination of the eight-person Special Response Team, the department’s Detectives Division and the Street Crimes Unit. Among those Joe DiBartolomeo has also decided to eliminate our PRO officers in Weir Middle and Weir High Schools. In a time when we need to protect our families and kids the most he is trying to dismantle our police. Please stand up and speak up!! We need our police!! We need our detectives and special units. And especially if you have kids ( like I do, in both schools), we NEED our PRO officers. Have you seen what has happened in NYC. Yes we are much smaller but it is still happening. Please I urge you to sign this petition so we can stop this insanity!!!
