TOMORROW: Events and Resources for the Upcoming Election

As The Election Looms
We all feel the rising tensions in the U.S. as the general election approaches. Through that, we remember all of those around the world living with political tensions every day and we commit ourselves to work for justice no matter the result of the election. Whichever man wins the presidency, there will be much work to do to continue our efforts to defund the police, dismantle white supremacy, prevent gun violence, and end militarism. And if the election results are contested, we must be ready to defend democracy even though our system is imperfect.

PPF will hold Zoom coffee hours pre-election and post-election for us all to share our feelings, worries, and actions together. We're also sharing several election-related resources from others below.
Pre-Election Coffee Hour
TOMORROW
Friday, Oct 23 - 11:00am ET

Toolkits for Defending a Democratic Election
A step-by-step handbook on how to prepare and what to do in multiple scenarios where Trump attempts to subvert the election results, put together by a group of activists, and applicable to individuals and organizations.

The goal of the Commitment to Uphold Democracy campaign is to get public written commitments―from elected officials and police and military―that will help to protect the integrity and results of the 2020 election.

This guide outlines how a U.S. Presidential election operates from elections to inauguration day, and details the steps an administration could take to disrupt the election. The guide also outlines steps to defend a free and fair election.

To help states plan for the worst case scenarios that may occur before, after, and on Election Day, State Voices has created this toolkit that includes potential scenarios, tools, resources, and contacts with national partners.

This guide offers a framing and organizational approach to respond to our current electoral moment.

Another resource guide with many links to other materials.

This is a toolkit for Election Defenders protecting the rights of people to vote in-person on Election Day so everyone can vote freely and without fear and that every ballot is counted.
