GreenPeace - Peace on Earth?

This past year has seen a heartbreaking war in Ukraine. It has also seen accelerating levels of floods, droughts, fires, and heatwaves, caused by the burning of fossil fuels. This creates unbearable suffering for millions, making more conflict inevitable.

DONATE NOW

For millennia, religious groups have led the call for peace.

There will be no peace among people without peace between people and planet.

And there can be no peace with the planet until there is an end to fossil fuels and clean energy for all. Whether it’s wars over oil and gas, climate disasters that create climate refugees, or the multitude of drilling, mining, and deforestation impacts that destroy people’s homes and livelihoods, it’s clear there will be no peace on Earth while we continue to rely on fossil fuels.

GreenFaith is taking action for a world transformed, where humanity, in all its diversity, has developed a shared reverence for life on Earth. Together, diverse faith groups stand in active solidarity with the marginalized and oppressed among us, building resilient, caring, sustainable communities and economies.

That might sound impossible, but research shows that it takes only 3.5% of the population to be involved in nonviolent public protest to create lasting social change, and people of faith make up roughly 80% of the world’s population. Do the math–we can do this!

A donation to GreenFaith today will help us reach and train more religious leaders and laypeople to become active and demand climate solutions.

With your support, Rev., we can achieve our ambitious campaign plans in 2023 to stop fossil fuel projects and shift financing from fossil fuels to renewable energy projects.

It’s the only way we will ever truly achieve peace on Earth.
