On behalf of Pamela Vazquez Sureo (Hoyt), we are making this petition to draw your attention towards her adjustment of status immigration case. We are asking that Pamela  be granted humanitarian parole and/or her petitions to return back to US are granted.

Pamela has been in the United States since she was two years old and has called Texas her home since she can remember, over 25 years. She has been a DACA recipient since the beginning of the program.  She attended public school in Texas, Kinder-12th grade.  Pamela completed her education here in the United States, she graduated Plano West High School.  Pamela is a Doula & Newborn Care Specialist supporting postpartum women in the United States.  Pamela & her husband both worked hard to buy a house, all on their own in Sept 2021, and pay off their bills, that would allow her to be a stay home mom after the birth of their 3rd child and her family conformed of US citizens to live comfortably and contribute to this great country; however, everything changed in Sept 26th, 2022 when she left for consular interview in Juarez, Mexico, advised by her attorney.

Pamela began the lengthy journey of filing for her legal permanent residency in 2016, with her husband, William, a US Citizen, petitioned for her.  William and Pamela gathered all the required documents and with the assistance of their attorney got ready for her consular interview in Ciudad Juarez in September 2022.  She was nervous being 36 weeks pregnant, leaving behind her family, but her lawyer reassured her that everything would be fine, she’d only be in Juarez, Mexico 5-7 days.  Her husband and 2 sons, 7 & 6 years old traveled with her because she’s never been away from her children more than 12 hours. She attended her interview on Sept 30th 2022.  On this day her entire world crumbled.  Her and her family were left devastated when the consular officer informed her that the petition was not approved and that she could not come back to the US to be with her family. The denial stated unlawfully presence in the US.  Her attorney had overlooked filing a 601 waiver.

The separation of her family is already causing irreparable harm. Pamela is a law abiding, tax paying, model citizen, a very loving mother, wife, daughter, sister, daughter-in-law and a good friend. She helps others by volunteering in US for a woman & infant shelter, the homeless, and at her church.  She helps to take care of her husband’s disabled elderly Vietnam veteran grandfather as well as her husband’s little sister both in the US and are US Citizens.  Unfortunately, Pamela’s greatest fear happened, and she was denied her permanent residency despite all her positive attributes.   Pamela, her family, her community and friends are still trying to understand why she was denied her green card. This denial Sept 30th, 2022, has been especially hard on her family who were left behind here in the United States.

On October 3rd her husband, William had to return back to US for work, leaving behind his pregnant wife & 2 American children.  On October 18th Pamela went in labor with their 3rd son at 3am and her husband anxiously got on the 1st flight to Mexico @ 844am.  She labored all alone until she started pushing in a strange hospital alone and her husband couldn’t get there in time.  Their 3rd son was born @ 920am.  It was a awful, Traumatic experience,  & not the birth plan they already had in place in the US.  Pamela also wasn’t prepared in Mexico to have a newborn.  She only brought enough stuff to Mexico for a 5-7 day stay.  On Nov 4th her husband had to return back to the US leaving her and their 3 children behind in Mexico.  On November 20th, they hired a new attorney in Mexico to try to present her at CBP to get her paroled into US and notice to appear.  It was denied.  The US officer @ CBP in Juarez, Mexico, joked, laughing saying,  “You basically deported yourself”. Totally uncalled for.  On Nov 24th her husband was forced to leave Pamela and newborn in Mexico, returning  back to Texas with their two older boys, because they had already missed 9 weeks of school and they were receiving threats of Pam & children being kidnapped.   Now she’s in a foreign country, postpartum with her newborn being separated from her two children and her husband.  Not knowing when she will be able to return to her home in Plano, Texas is so emotional & overwhelming for her, William and boys.

Both of her oldest American children are suffering from separation anxiety being separated from their mom & baby brother, after having their world uprooted & flipped upside down, missed 9 weeks of school in the formative years, their routine, everything they have ever known.  Being separated from their mother is affecting their mental health at such a young and impressionable age.  Pamela being postpartum, I’m worried how this can affect her mental health especially being separated from her children.  You can help change this by inquiring on her case and advocating she is granted at the very least humanitarian parole back into the United States.

Pamela knows the US as her only home, this is where she grew up and is as American as any US citizen.

Please show them your support by signing this petition and sharing it with your friends and family.

President Biden, Governor Greg Abbott, Senator Ted Cruz, John Cornyn, DHS, Ambassador Ken Salazar, please listen to Pamela’s plea and approve her petition for humanitarian parole, and/or approve her 1-601 waiver, 1-131, to come back to US, so that Pamela & their newborn son can be reunited with her US Citizen husband and two US Citizen children in Texas.

If you would like to donate please donate to this link her church created so it goes directly to Pamela and her family.  The donations on change.com do not go directly to the family.  Thank you for all your support.
