Ramadan Roundtable & Earth Day: Join the final Sacred Season Community Calls next week

Today, we honor the Jewish observance of Passover.

And we look to the sacred days to come, with just two more times to gather together during Sacred Season for Climate Justice. Here's all the information you need for both calls:

As we are coming into the halfway point of the Sacred Month of Ramadan, GreenFaith will be co-hosting a Ramadan Climate Roundtable with Ummah for Earth on April 20, 2022 at 4pm GMT (12pm NewYork / 9am California). The online roundtable will discuss climate justice and the actions Muslims can take during Ramadan and beyond, as individuals, in community, and as an ummah at large. Confirmed speakers include Imam Saffet Catovic (ISNA), Dr Husna Ahmad (Global One), Shahin Ashraf (Islamic Relief Worldwide), and Nana Firman (GreenFaith).

Later that same week, we’re joining Earth Day India for a commemoration of Earth Day and Interfaith Dialogue of Investing in Our Planet on April 22, at 9am ET/7:30pm India Standard Time. We’ll gather with people from around the world who are Buddhist, Hindu, Muslim, Christian, and Jewish. (Because we're expecting a large group, this call will be a Zoom webinar. You'll have to very briefly re-register to join the call. We'll never share your contact information without your consent.)

What a gift to be in this world with each of you, envisioning and creating a world that is compassionate, loving, and just. We are in this together, working faithfully for climate justice during this Sacred Season.

In solidarity and faith,

Sister Nana Firman and rev. abby mohaupt
