Zaxby's - Zaxby’s, adopt stronger animal welfare policies!

Zaxby’s is a popular Southern restaurant chain. When Kendyl learned this Georgia-based brand sources their chickens from factory farms, they started a petition. Factory farms are known for the atrocious way they treat animals. Chickens from these facilities are bred unnaturally large, have painful chemical burns, and are unethically slaughtered. Add your name to tell Zaxby’s to do the right thing for these innocent animals.

Zaxby’s, adopt stronger animal welfare policies!

I live in Georgia, home of the chicken chain, Zaxby’s. Sadly, I recently learned that this restaurant has fallen way behind their competitors with regards to the chickens in their supply chain.

Today, the vast majority of chickens on factory farms endure horrible suffering, including:

  • Being bred to grow unnaturally big and incredibly quickly, which causes physical deformities, organ failure, and heart attacks
  • Painful chemical burns on their bodies from being forced to live in filthy, ammonia-laden litter
  • Slaughter practices so gruesome that many suffer from broken legs, having their throats cut open while still conscious, and even the possibility of being boiled alive

I find it unacceptable for animals to endure any of this horrendous suffering. I’m guessing you do too.

That’s why I’m calling on Zaxby’s to sign onto the Better Chicken Commitment (a set of animal welfare standards that addresses the very worst abuses chickens endure in today’s food system).

I’d love to see a Georgia-based company make much-needed strides for millions of animals. If you would too, please join me in signing and sharing this petition and urging Zaxby’s to do better for animals and customers.
