Four Free At-Home Rapid COVID Tests

Due to the recent coronavirus spike driven by the Omicron variant, it is vital that all Americans have access to the tools needed to protect themselves and their loved ones including vaccinations, tests, and masks. The Biden Administration has helped distribute 530 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine and 64% of the U.S. population is fully vaccinated, but the effort to reduce the spread remains critical.

On Friday, January 14th, President Biden announced that all Americans are eligible to receive free at-home, COVID-19 rapid tests. 1 billion rapid tests became available for order on Wednesday, January 19th and each household may order a maximum of four tests at this time.

But we’re still in it,” President Biden said in a statement on Tuesday, December 21st. “We also have more tools than we had before. We’re ready, we’ll get through this.” In addition, the president announced that the White House is considering a similar program to provide free, high-quality masks to all Americans. Details about this program are expected to be revealed next week.
