Many of us are deeply concerned about what the election means for our collective future. The incoming administration’s callous disregard for climate policies that protect people and the planet run counter to our religious, spiritual, ethical values. As people of faith, we will rise in response. GreenFaith is organizing a series of calls to share our plans to respond. We want to hear your ideas, too. See below and register to join us! JOIN A CALL TO COURAGE A Call to Courage: Faiths for Climate Justice #1 A Call to Courage: Faiths for Climate Justice #2 A Clergy Call to Courage: Faiths for Climate Justice GreenFaith is inviting faith leaders from all traditions – clergy and lay – to join us to plan and take action together. Right away, we are launching a Multi-Faith Public Call to Courage Pledge that shows that people of faith are calling for climate justice, not “drill, baby, drill.” We know that people turn to their faith communities in times of need, and so we must be ready to respond to the challenges that lie ahead. Whether it’s increasing climate migration, the targeting of religious and racial groups, lack of access to adequate healthcare, we as people of faith must protect the vulnerable and recommit to speaking with a united voice in the public square. A Call To Courage is an opportunity for faith leaders to strategize and collectively gather strength for the days and years ahead. That’s why we are hosting two calls for our community to come together as well as a special call for clergy. Join us for A Call to Courage: Faiths for Climate Justice on December 4 or December 9 for our Clergy Call on January 7. At GreenFaith we know we are meant to respond in moments such as these and we know that we are not alone! We hope to see you on a call. In solidarity and hope, PS Forward this to a friend or clergy person! |
In this blog, we'll look at how men and women at serving Jesus Christ both at home and abroad. We'll focus on how God is using their work to transform the lives of people all over the world.
