GreenFaith - Strategy report from COP29

Register for the COP29 Live From the Ground Webinar

It is a painfully challenging time for the climate. At COP29 in Azerbaijan, the coal, oil and gas industries have hundreds of representatives. The country’s president referred to fossil fuels as a “gift from God.” The implications of Trump’s election weigh heavily.

GreenFaith is fighting back as the leading multi-faith voice for climate justice. We’ve directly challenged Azerbaijan’s President and been quoted around the globe in TIME magazine, the Associated Press, and many others.

We’ve called for a rapid increase in climate finance and pressured the UN for its “faithwashing” efforts to co-opt religion.

Our GreenFaith team of faith activists from Kenya, Ghana, Nigeria, Indonesia, and the US has been on fire speaking truth to power. Join us on a special webinar—Live from COP29—on Thursday, 21 November at 11 am ET, to hear directly from them.

Rev., you’re not going to want to miss this.

Fossil fuels are killing our planet and over 7 million people every year. We’ve heard enough empty talk from world leaders and oil executives. As people of faith, we refuse to accept the destruction and suffering. There’s a better way forward; let’s chart it together.

See you on the Live from COP29: Faith Voices From the Ground webinar.

In steadfast faith,

Rose Gwynn
