Today marks 50 days until the most consequential U.S. election in modern history. Voter suppression efforts are in full swing, often leaving communities that are in vulnerable circumstances unable to cast their votes. A plan for how to vote, whether in person or by mail-in ballot, can change this. We invited you to make a voting plan last week. Will you share your plan today and invite others to do the same? Suggested post text:
We have been advocating to ensure a free, fair, and safe election. Getting the right information to vote can be confusing enough, and it isn’t any easier during the multiple national and regional crises we are facing. That’s why we must create a plan to ensure our voices are heard through this sacred act of democratic participation. Will you join our #50toGo campaign today? You will be joining a community of diverse faith leaders from across the country who are making a plan to vote in this election and inviting their communities to do the same. Our faith calls us beyond intention and into action. We urge you to invite your friends, family, and communities to participate and share on social media your plan to vote in this election. In solidarity, Sandy Ovalle |
