Together, we’ve been working to see the flourishing of the beloved community, where everyday life, with our family, friends, and neighbors exists in a reality where neither punishment nor privilege is attached to one’s skin color, nationality, gender identity, sexual orientation, or any other human difference. Today, we have an opportunity to get closer to this reality. On Day One of the new administration, we need solutions that reflect the values of the beloved community.
Working families, immigrant communities, and frontline workers are the heartbeat of our nation. When they have the resources they need to thrive, whole communities thrive. We need to take back the ground lost under the previous administration and reverse its harmful executive actions and policies. On Day One, we must repeal the Muslim ban, rejoin the Paris Agreement, protect and strengthen the Affordable Care Act, stop the death penalty, end mandatory minimums, abolish private prisons, and so much more. This is just a start!
Urge President-elect Joe Biden to take back government for the people, to advance policies and priorities that protect and uplift our neighbors, particularly the most vulnerable and not the wealthy few. In faith and action, Sandy Ovalle |
In this blog, we'll look at how men and women at serving Jesus Christ both at home and abroad. We'll focus on how God is using their work to transform the lives of people all over the world.
