Have you ever felt compelled to speak out against something you knew was wrong?
In France, home of GreenFaith Organizer Martin Kopp, there is growing political pressure to make religion a private matter.
But when he learned about the East Africa oil extraction projects of TotalEnergies, a fossil fuel giant based in Paris, Martin saw that they were profoundly against his ethical and religious beliefs.
Speaking out was, in his eyes, the only option.
Martin and his team gathered a group of courageous multi-faith youth and senior religious leaders to take a series of creative public actions.
This was the first-ever act of religious civil disobedience for climate justice in France, publicly naming Total and attracting coverage in the country's largest newspapers.
Rev., your support makes this kind of bold action possible! Thank you.
We need your help to continue putting pressure on decision-makers–not with hatred and vitriol, but with love, truth, and deep moral resolve. Together, we can bring about the hopeful future we know is within reach.
With sincere gratitude,
Rev. Fletcher Harper
