We are so glad you are a part of the GreenFaith community. As the pandemic is raging, I thought a lot this weekend about how important the Faith Community Calls for Care and Resilience have become. The spiritual break in these hard times and the deep community that we are building are so sacred and precious to me.
It’s clear that the care and love for those who are struggling in a grossly inequitable world is never more important than today. That is why we are creating Faith Communities of Care and Resilience where we look out for each other, with love, justice, and compassion.
Please join us this week, as every week, on Thursday, April 16, at either 11 am or at 4 pm New York Time. (You can find your local time here). The call repeats at these two different times to accommodate more of our GreenFaith members around the world.
Please register here:
We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Ingrid Mattson, an acclaimed Muslim scholar and activist. Dr. Mattson will lead the reflection. She served as the first female president of the Islamic Society of North America, and has worked on civil rights and environmental issues.
We look forward to being with you.
In faith,
Rev. Fletcher Harper and the entire GreenFaith team
P.S. In the last two weeks, you’ve generously shared the poems, prayers, and music that give you solace during this time. We curated and compiled them here: Spiritual Resources for Care and Resilience in the Time of Coronavirus. We hope they bring you some comfort.
