Congress is Considering the Administration’s $9.4 Budget Rescissions (Elimination) This Week. Why The Church Must Care Devastating millions of the poorest and sickest Americans with cruel and inhumane Medicaid and Food Stamp cuts in the just passed Big Ugly Bill was bad enough.  This week the administration is also requesting  $9.4 billion in rescissions (elimination) of global health programs hurting many foreign missions supported by our churches, as well as migrant and refugee assistance cuts largely impacting Black and Brown countries while inviting White South African refugees to the U. S.  Cuts are also requested to the Africa Development Fund focusing on poverty reduction  across the continent and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting through which many low income rural residents access critical news and weather alerts not otherwise available.
