WCC NEWS: Joint action for justice and peace in Palestine and Israel will be focus of webinar

A webinar on 5 June, entitled “Accompaniment, solidarity and joint action for justice and peace,” will be another milestone of the new World Council of Churches (WCC) campaign, “Stop annexation, end the occupation.”
28 May 2025

The webinar will show how lifting up local voices communicating about the realities of daily life under occupation can lead to global awareness and, most importantly, to action.

The webinar and the campaign are organized by the WCC Ecumenical Accompaniment Programme in Palestine and Israel.

The campaign, which is running from 21 May to 11 June, is set to raise awareness regarding the realities of daily life under occupation and the related violations of international law, including forced displacement, de-facto annexation, and discrimination.

The webinar will offer insight into how the presence of accompaniers and those standing in solidarity help bring about small and large acts of justice that lead toward paving the path toward peace. Speakers will show how shared humanity, lived out in Palestine and Israel, is a building block for the future.
