![]() This Mother’s Day, we’re writing not just as GreenFaith organizers—but as mothers. For me (Anna), my mom’s love of nature sparked my own. Now, I hope to pass that same reverence on to my daughter. Her generation, and the ones to come, are the heart of my fight for climate justice. For me (Amy), Mother’s Day is about standing up for our kids, their future, and Mother Earth. My daughter used to run cross country, and it breaks my heart that she gave it up because running on increasingly hot days made her sick.
We fight because what we love is at risk. But another future is possible. GreenFaith is organizing a nationwide, spiritually-rooted clean energy mobilization called Sun Day this September 19-21. Thousands of people of faith, in all 50 states, will gather at houses of worship, parks, and city halls to demand clean energy and climate justice. To make sure our voices are heard, we are:
