Last week, EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin moved to eliminate 31 environmental regulations—jeopardizing our air, water, and health while paving the way for increased pollution and fossil fuel industry profits. His reckless decision threatens our communities, blocks renewable energy development, and accelerates climate disaster.
Zeldin brazenly declared, “We are driving a dagger straight into the heart of the climate change religion.” But climate change is not a religion—it is science, backed by decades of research and reinforced by the devastating storms, wildfires, and floods we witness every year.
Yet, our faiths do play a role in how we respond to this crisis. They call us to stand for justice, to protect the vulnerable, and to speak out against the destruction of our planet. At GreenFaith, we believe that eliminating these protections is a moral failure. It is our duty to reject corporate greed and demand policies that protect people and the planet.
Take action today. Sign our letter urging government leaders to end fossil fuel subsidies and stop the expansion of fossil gas projects that lock in decades of climate destruction. These subsidies—totaling $20 billion annually—fund pollution, worsen climate disasters, and disproportionately harm marginalized communities. Instead of propping up polluters, we must invest in a just and sustainable future.
