How you can help:

  • If your Presbytery has concurred with any of these overtures, please check (search) PCBiz to confirm that the concurrence has been reported and recorded.

  • Please make sure your Presbytery has submitted the name of an overture advocate to the Office of the General Assembly and PEC if they have acted on any of the overtures. The advocates can participate in the GA committee meetings online (no travelling needed).  We hope all the Advocates will coordinate their presentations with PEC.

  • If you have any information on commissioners to General Assembly from your Presbytery, please let PEC know by emailing presbyearthcare@gmail.com so that we may reach out to them.

Now is the time to join PEC or renew your annual membership

Members/donors of PEC receive:

• Regular electronic communications including advocacy updates and quarterly issues of EARTH, our literary magazine.

• Connection to a Regional Representative to connect you with others in your presbytery or synod.

• On-line resources to bring earth care into your life as well as your church.

• A vote and a voice within PEC.

A vibrant and energized PEC is vital if we are to maintain a planet habitable to humans. God graciously created this world for us and expects us to protect it. Scientists have made clear that we have less than 10 years to make the changes needed. We believe the Church can make a real difference at this crucial time.

Earth Care Conference 2025

Would YOU like to join our Planning Team?

Presbyterians for Earth Care is excited to begin planning their 2025 National Earth Care Conference.  They would love to add diverse ideas and voices to their planning team.  Whether you have attended a PEC conference in the past, have some unique ideas to contribute to an earth care event, or would simply enjoy helping to plan a fun-filled, spiritually enriching event focused on the care of God's Creation, they would love to add you to their team.  Meetings would take place virtually and the time commitment would be approximately 2 hours per month.  Please contact PEC Coordinator Mindy Hidenfelter at presbyearthcare@gmail.com if you are interested or would like to hear more about the volunteer opportunity.
