UPCOMING WEBINAR! Free from Plastic Pollution A United Church of Christ Resolution of Witness Presenters: Rev. Dr. Robert E Shore-Goss and Rev. Rob Grabill Date: Tuesday, July 11th Time: 7:30 pm EDT (6:30 CDT, 5:30 MDT, 4:30 PDT) While recycling of plastic seemed like a good solution, only about 9% of plastic produced is actually recycled and 79% collects in landfills or is dumped into the environment. To reduce the problem created by the growing plastic pandemic, two conferences of the United Church of Christ have approved resolutions by their 2023 General Synod (comparable to overtures to the PC-USA General Assembly) to tackle this issue. In our webinar, which coincides with “Plastic-Free July”, Rev. Dr. Robert E Shore-Goss from the Florida Conference and Rev. Robert Grabill of the New Hampshire Conference will join us to discuss these resolutions, the results of the 2023 General Synod vote to approve, and how Presbyterians and all people of faith can help to tackle this crisis. Please plan to join us for this FREE Webinar!

“The Climate Crisis & Empowering Hope” is our theme for our 2023 national conference. The conference will deal with the greatest moral issue of the day and practical ways that our faith can guide us to act for creation care. We will gather in person in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley and at three satellite locations (California, Arkansas and Minnesota) and we will also stream all presentations online. We will learn from top church leaders, gifted biblical and theological teachers, activists, pastors, and one another. This important conference will make a difference for God’s creation and the Church. Please plan to join us and ask your Presbytery to include this information in your Presbytery newsletter.
