Despite promises to reduce investments in oil and gas, Bank of America invested 232 billion dollars in fossil fuel infrastructure from 2016-2021.
And a report last week was released showing major banks have only invested 7% of their energy investments in renewable energy over the last 7 years! This does not demonstrate any commitment to net zero by 2050, despite what they say.
As people of faith and conscience we must respond! Join us for our first online action hour Thursday, February 16, 7pm ET / 6 CT / 5 MT / 4 PT.

Feel a sense of community and collective power as passionate people of faith and spirit collectively put pressure on Bank of America
Take action to stop funding fossil fuels – all in one short hour!
Our target for this action hour is Brian Moynihan, CEO of Bank of America, one of the 4 largest US banks that funds destructive projects like Formosa Plastics and the East African Crude Oil Pipeline (to name just two).
In 2023, GreenFaith is continuing our campaign to put pressure on the banks and financial institutions that are financing climate destruction, not only in the United States but around the world. Whether it is pipelines, deforestation, or agri-business, banks and investments are contributing to the suffering of people and the destruction of precious eco-systems.
Looking forward to seeing you there.
In solidarity,
Rev. Amy Brooks Paradise
