GreenFaith - Is it OK to be grateful right now?

There’s no denying it, it’s been a tough year for our world. The heartbreaking war in Ukraine. More floods, droughts, fires, and heat waves–caused by the burning of fossil fuels. These disasters generate unbearable stress for millions. They make more conflict inevitable.

Do you want to know what keeps me going in times like these? It’s my gratitude for all the people who show up and support GreenFaith’s grassroots organizing. Whether through gifts of service by taking action at mobilizations or donations that empower our work - it all makes a difference!

This year, in the face of all the struggles we see around the world, our small team – with your help, Rev. – is pressuring:

  • TotalEnergies and the governments of Uganda & Tanzania to abandon plans for the East Africa Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP)

  • BlackRock to stop financing fossil fuel projects

  • Japan & Indonesia to stop using and financing new coal plants

  • The US government to stop permitting new oil and gas projects

And we’re seeing signs that our pressure is starting to pay off. In France and East Africa, our work has gained recognition as a major force against EACOP. Our Indonesian team was on the front page of the country’s largest newspaper. Your support makes a real difference!

The gratitude I have is not just a feeling. We literally could not do this without you. So whether you’re there with us in the streets during a mobilization or you’re there with us in spirit by giving what you can of your time and resources, I’m so grateful for all that you do.

THANK YOU, Rev., for all you do to care for the earth and the most vulnerable among us.

With deepest gratitude and holiday blessings,

Rev. Fletcher Harper

P.S.
Thank you for supporting GreenFaith today!
