TCR Breaking News: AME Executive Director of Global Witness and Ministry, Statement on Kidnapping of US Missionaries in Haiti

ATLANTA, GA— Dr. John F. Green, Executive Director for Global Witness and Ministry of the African Methodist Episcopal Church released the following statement on the recent kidnapping of U.S. missionaries in Haiti.

“We are saddened over reports from USA Today and the Washington Post that a group of 17 U.S. missionaries and their families were kidnapped by gang members on Saturday in Haiti as they were leaving an orphanage. As efforts are underway by the U.S. Embassy for their safe return, let us join other faith groups in prayer that these U. S. Missionaries and their families shall be returned unharmed and the senseless violence in Haiti shall come to an end.”
