What is your faith calling you to do at this moment?
Across traditions, our faith and spiritual values teach us that we belong to one another—and that when our communities and our common home are threatened, we are called to act.
GreenFaith is recruiting 40 people of faith and spirit from across the United States for the 2027 GreenFaith Leadership Institute. Will you be one of them?
Rooted in faith. Formed through community. Equipped to organize for change.
Starting in January 2027, participants will embark on a five-month program, explore the personal stories, relationships, traditions, and values that ground their commitment to justice—and learn how to turn that moral authority into collective power.
You’ll build relationships. Develop other leaders. Learn to understand power and strategy. Form a team. And put those skills into practice through real organizing in your community.
This is an opportunity to engage with your community on issues that affect the climate and also mean a lot to you. From stopping data centers, LNG expansion, and supporting legislation like Make Polluters Pay bills in various states, we will support you in building a team that advocates for the climate-justice causes that you care most about. Because at the GreenFaith Leadership Institute the field is the classroom.
You don’t need to be clergy or a professional organizer. You need a commitment to climate justice and the common good, relationships you can build from, and a willingness to bring others into action.
And this is bigger than five months. You’ll become part of a growing faith-rooted community of practice committed to building our collective future.
Early decision applications run through October 30, 2026.
