Ten days from now, thousands of people of faith will begin a nationwide Week of Action.
In churches, synagogues, mosques, temples, and meeting houses across the country, preparations are already underway. Sermons are being written. Meetings with Members of Congress are being scheduled. Public vigils and community gatherings are taking shape.
Together, they'll call on Congress to repeal HR1—legislation that accelerates the climate crisis, cuts support for families, and puts the interests of fossil fuel companies ahead of the common good.
Watching this come together has reminded me of something important: real change begins long before the cameras arrive. It begins when ordinary people decide to show up for one another.
