Rev. Chelsea MacMillan (Sr. Organizer GreenFaith) and Rabbi Joshua Blaine lead in song at the New York Renews Coalition Rally for Energy from Heaven in Manhattan
As Congress suggests legislation to offer immunity to big oil interests we are taking action because people’s health, homes and futures matter and big oil must be accountable. That is why we are inviting you to the upcoming launch call to the Covenant For Our Future Campaign, which you can learn more about now by filling out this interest form!
Climate justice is our covenant—with you, and with our planet.
This month, faith communities across the country have been making that covenant visible. Through Energy from Heaven, we showed what moral clarity looks like in action—from rallies stretching San Francisco to New York, to sermons and community gatherings across the Gulf South to Boston. We spoke with one voice:
People of faith are called to defend what is good, and to stand firmly against what is not. Fossil fuels are inherently destructive, and we must boldly work toward a just energy transition.
We also took that message directly to those in power—launching a petition urging the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops to stand in solidarity with Pope Leo, and another petition calling on Members of Congress to reject efforts to shield the fossil fuel industry from accountability.
Nearly 700 people participated in creating an Energy from Heaven Human Banner in San Francisco, CA for Earth DayBut this work does not stop with climate alone.
The same systems that harm our climate are part of a broader pattern of injustice against all of creation. That’s why GreenFaith is helping launch Covenant for Our Future—a new, multi-sector coalition grounded in faith, committed to building a restorative, justice-centered movement across issues.
This is the next step.
Join us on May 11 for the Covenant for Our Future Launch Call to learn how climate justice fits into this broader movement—and how you can take action on climate alongside partners working across communities and causes.
We built momentum in April. Now we carry it forward—together.
In solidarity,
Rev. Amy Brooks Paradise
