This week is the critical time for opposing three of Trump’s most problematic nominees: Kash Patel for FBI Director, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for Secretary of Health and Human Services, and Tulsi Gabbard for Director of National Intelligence. These nominees have shown themselves to be unqualified, extreme, or place their loyalty to President Trump ahead of the Constitution or the good of the country. We deserve better!
Kash Patel has repeatedly railed against the FBI, the agency Trump has nominated him to lead, but secured Trump’s favor by repeating false claims about the stolen 2020 election and vowing to “come after” Trump’s enemies, including journalists. Tulsi Gabbard visited Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad in 2017 and has helped amplify Russian propaganda. And as for Robert F. Kennedy Jr., putting him in charge of the Department of Health and Human Services when he’s been one of the world's most famous vaccine skeptics is a deeply irresponsible move that could carry devastating consequences for the United States’ already serious vaccine-denial problem. It's deeply important that the Senate use its constitutional prerogative of “advice and consent” to prevent these unfit nominees from serving in these critically important roles.
