![]() Sign the Urgent Open Letter from People of Faith to Pres. TrumpFor all my life, I have lived in Los Angeles. I know its sprawling cityscapes, its canyons and ravines, and the vibrant, diverse communities that make it so unique. It is my heart and my refuge. And now it is burning to the ground. I know people who have lost their homes, their livelihoods, and houses of worship. I know people whose neighborhoods are now nothing more than ash and charred wood. I know people who have had to leave because the air itself has become unbreathable. My heart is breaking and only my faith is holding me together. As people of faith, we cannot stay silent in the face of this devastation. We know that President-elect Trump has plans to dismantle critical climate protections upon taking office. We don’t know if we can change any of his decisions. But we do know, as people of faith, that we need to speak up for what we believe. Please–join me in signing this open letter to the President-elect. Together, we will deliver this message at a pivotal moment in the days to come, making it clear that people of faith and religious leaders across the United States demand action. We want our government to protect our future–not fund our destruction by propping up the fossil fuel industry. We will also reach out to various media outlets to share this message. We want to lift up the voices of our beautiful, diverse community of faith–united in the mission to protect God’s people and God’s creation. In faith,
