About Author Dr. Michael Long
Dr. Michael Long is an author whose passion lies in civil rights, nonviolence, LGBTQIA rights, and religion. He has a Ph.D. from Emory University and is currently focused on writing books for young readers on various social justice issues. Dr. Long wrote a nonfiction biography on civil rights activist Bayard Rustin titled "Troublemaker for Justice: The Story of Bayard Rustin, the Man Behind the March on Washington."

Michael has written on a variety of social justice issues, including the 1917 Silent Protest Parade and the history of HIV and AIDS. His civil rights writing has been featured on many major platforms, including the New York Times, NPR, MSNBC, CNN, The Los Angeles Times, and many more. Advent Fundraising Update
Thank you for your support of PPF's work and your engagement with our Advent campaign. We are still receiving donations but we wanted to let you know that we are more than two thirds of the way to our final goal of $80,000! As of right now we have raised over $53,000. We are so grateful to you for helping us continue the important peacemaking work that PPF has been doing for 80 years!
