Change.org Petition: NRA in Texas - Stop the NRA Convention in Texas this Weekend

Earlier this week, an elementary school was the center of the deadliest school shooting in Texas history. 19 young children and 2 teachers were shot and killed. Days later, the NRA is holding its annual Houston convention on May 27. Gov. Greg Abbott and both Texas senators, Ted Cruz and John Cornyn are set to attend in spite of the deaths of their youngest constituents. Ashley started a petition to ask the NRA to postpone the event, to respect the Texas children who lost their lives due to gun violence. Add your name to urge the NRA to do the right thing. Despite this horrific devastation, the NRA convention is set to take place this weekend in Texas. Just days after the deadliest school shooting in Texas history, Gov. Greg Abbott, along with both of Texas’ U.S. senators, John Cornyn and Ted Cruz, are scheduled to attend the National Rifle Association’s annual convention in Houston.
