Most congregations own some amount of land, some own large swaths of lawn. Imagine if every church saw their land as opportunities to bless their neighborhood, grow food and create opportunities for ecological restoration. John will share some exiting examples of churches doing this kind of work with their neighbors. The “working title” of the effort, until the group formally chooses a name for itself, is the Young Adult Presbyterians Environmental Justice Network. Organizer Emma Marshall will be reaching out to young adults across the church who may wish to be involved in this group.
