Instead of arresting a domestic abuser, the Lansing police department, specifically Michelle Hood arrest the victim. This is just one case, I wonder how many other victims have had this happen. Between 65-80% of female intimate partner homicide victims were previously abused by the partner who killed them, making domestic violence the single largest risk factor for intimate partner femicide. Most (70%) IPV (intimate partner violence) violence is never reported or documented. Officer Michelle Hood needs to be thoroughly investigated to find the reason why she allowed a domestic abuser to flee the scene of an assault in a stolen vehicle.
And why she found it necessary to arrest the victim of the assault.
