Update from Colombia Last week three PPFers landed in Colombia and have been meeting with our partners at IPC, local journalists, and others working to uphold the peace process. In one conversation they heard from a local independent journalist who shared with them a video of when he was attacked with a gas canister by law enforcement for his reporting. Many journalists and young people, in particular, have endured horrific police violence for defending their basic human rights. At the end of the presentation he looked at Joey and said, "The US government is helping to fund the police force." Read more about the repression of Colombia's citizens who have been in the streets demanding their human rights since the uprising began in April.
