Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was a champion of justice and women’s rights. She was an icon to all people who care about social justice, equality, and human rights. It would be a grossly disrespectful for Republicans to rush to fill her seat ahead of the November election. The U.S. Senate must not rush to fill her seat. Out of respect for her legacy and to honor the will of the American people by allowing the November election to take place first, we urge the U.S. Senate to postpone any effort to fill Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s seat on the Supreme Court until 2021. | ||||||||||||
